Growing up in an Italian-American household, food was always front and center in all of Tony's family gatherings. He found himself in the kitchen during any family event with fond memories watching his mother make sauce, grandmother make meatballs, and aunts make cookies.
He trained as a chef at some of Chicago's most beloved restaurants and got his pizza tips from world pizza champion Tony Gemignani's International School of Pizza.
After being asked to speak at Depaul University on a variety of Italian and Chicago food culture topics (including pizza) Tony started the hashtag #professorpizza which soon stuck and became the name of his home kitchen pop up, and now take out restaurant concept.
